Your role and responsibilities

If so, we invite you to join ABB’s Electrification business area as a R&D Engineer for Electronics Hardware Development. Be part of a highly motivated, agile team where your innovative ideas will shape the future of ABB’s cutting-edge products. Responsibilities: Design and Development: Create, implement, and optimize analog and digital circuits from concept to serial production. Technical Specifications: Develop schematics, define PCB layout constraints, and establish verification specifications. Testing and Verification: Conduct simulations, prototype testing, and documentation to ensure designs meet the highest standards. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product owners, system architects, and software developers to translate market requirements into hardware specifications. Innovation and Strategy: Monitor industry developments, propose R&D projects, and identify technical drivers to align with ABB’s business goals. Knowledge Sharing: Expand your expertise through internal and external networks. Risk Management: Take responsibility for hardware development activities, ensuring alignment with project targets while coordinating with suppliers and other functions. Intellectual Property: Contribute to securing ABB’s IP through patent development.
Qualifications for the role
- M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electronic Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years as a hardware design engineer in embedded systems.
- Expertise in designing electronic circuits and working with simulation tools.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential; Swedish skills are an advantage
