Student Assistant for BI & Analytics

Join us in this role where you’ll where you’ll play an important role in changing the way our organization looks at data. You will contribute by simplifying and presenting complex datasets for relevant decision makers, all the while asking the right question to make sure value is generated.

Welcome to Ørsted Bioenergy
You’ll be part of an agile team called Team Explorer within the agile program called Smart Plant, involving five teams and in all around 50 people across Denmark, Poland and Malaysia. Together with your colleagues, you will help with data visualization via PowerBI and analytical models on our assets. A part of the team is also responsible for implementing a data lake solution, where data located on different servers and databases will be transferred to a central place. As a team, we enjoy an informal way of working, challenge each other, combined with creating great results.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • working in an agile and energetic environment in a world-leading green energy organization
  • maintaining our existing PowerBI dashboards and help further develop them, based on concrete end-user needs
  • enhancing existing analytical models using e.g. Python and deliver on user stories
  • helping translate complex data issues within our power plant business

producing and presenting analytical results about e.g. maintenance on rotating equipment.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • are enrolled in a relevant study program like data science or similar at, e.g. ITU, KEA, KU or DTU and should have at least one year left in your studies, preferably more
  • either have existing Microsoft Power BI knowledge or are eager to learn how to combine data into appealing and user-friendly dashboards
  • possess programming skills, e.g. Python, which the team frequently uses
  • speak and write English fluently – Danish is a plus, but not a requirement
  • have a strong personal drive and can work independently.
