You will join the Tech Transfer & Validation Team, currently consisting of 8 scientists. The team is part of our Global Manufacturing Science & Technology (Global MSAT) Department, currently comprising 49 people.

Global MSAT is responsible for standardization and strategic alignment for implementation and life-cycle management of manufacturing processes, products and materials across our internal and external manufacturing facilities, for consistent quality and regulatory compliance of all products.

The responsibilities of the Tech Transfer & Validation Team include:

  • Define and drive execution of Tech Transfer and Validation Strategies.
  • Prepare CMC source documents for Clinical Trial Materials (CTM) production, TT, and PPQ.
  • Implement and qualify new cell lines, and virus seeds.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) support to Implementation projects.
  • CTM/TT project coordination.

In scope of the team are transfers of manufacturing processes from one site to another (or from one company to another) at all life-cycle stages, including transfer from development to commercialization and full commercial scale transfers. Scope of projects can be both insourcing, outsourcing and site-to-site internal transfers. We cover manufacturing processes for both Cell Banks, Virus Seeds, Drug Substances and Drug Products.

As a scientist you will work closely together with your colleagues within the Global MSAT department as well as colleagues across the organization, like Regulatory Affairs, Quality Control (QC) laboratories, Quality Assurance (QA), Production Development, and Commercial Production Sites including External Manufacturing sites.

You will report to the Manager of the Tech Transfer Team in the Global MSAT department.

In this position you will be responsible for the transfer of downstream manufacturing processes, like e.g. Chromatography, TFF, Enzymatic Processing and Homogenization.

Your tasks include:

  • Develop and execute Tech Transfer & Validation Strategies.
  • Perform product and process assessments, like criticality and comparability assessments.
  • Author study protocols and reports, compiling and evaluating manufacturing and product data.
  • Author and manage change requests for tech transfer activities.
  • Ensure scientific rationales and CMC source documents for regulatory purposes.
  • Ensure both alignment within the department, and cross-department collaboration.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in downstream processing.
  • Tech Transfer experience is a benefit.
  • Relevant scientific background, e.g. Master in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemical Eng., Pharmacy or similar.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Great stakeholder management and communication skills.
