Lead Financial Consultant

Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for the development of scalable digital solutions. Your primary focus will be to ensure progress on various projects within the record to report (R2R) area to ensure a constant focus on optimising the processes and to ensure that the solutions are delivered and deployed in the most efficient way. You’ll act as both change and project manager.

You’ll be part of the maturation team within Financial Accounting & Controlling where you, together with your colleagues, will be a key player in driving the globalisation and maturation standardisation of Ørsted’s finance processes. Financial Accounting & Controlling is part of Ørsted Business Services and is responsible for driving implementation of global streamlined processes within R2R such as month end close, month end reporting, financial controlling, and statutory accounts in the most automated and efficient way. You’ll play an important role in:
- developing and optimising our global R2R processes in an efficient manner, e.g. financial master data, month close, and statutory reporting
- speeding up the pace of transformation and ensuring that changes are integrated and embedded to deliver maximum value to the business
- maintaining clear and effective communication with key stakeholders across the organisation
- continuously evaluating end-to-end processes and identifying potential development initiatives, i.e. by analysing efficiency, assessing quality, analysing first-time-right, etc.
- continuously improving Finance Change Management’s approach and tools to cater for the dynamic environment that we work in.
To succeed in the role, you:
- have experience from working in a global company and have worked with identifying, analysing, and improving business processes to optimise performance, meet best practice standards, or improve quality and the user experience for customers
- have experience with stakeholder management of a shared service centre and/or handling external business process suppliers (BPS)
- thrive in the spot between finance, IT, and the business, always looking to engage your cross-functional competences to continuously optimise and digitalise processes
- have a master’s degree, a certificate in accounting (ACA) in controlling and accounting, or equivalent, and solid experience within financial controlling or accounting processes in an international group or from an audit firm
- communicate clearly in writing and enjoy communicating financial issues in easily understandable language.
