Configuration Lifecycle Management is under the umbrella of Innovation, Concepts, Capability & Excellence (IC2E). In Configuration Lifecycle Management, we are responsible for delivering controlled releases of configurable modules and configuration rules to the value chain through a thorough understanding of products and dependencies. We secure efficient customization that allows for optimal sales of modular products & efficient variant handling throughout the value chain. This is executed by the establishment and maintenance of our Vestas Product Model, including the Product Family Master Plan, which together form the variant offering of Vestas Product Variants.
We are involved from the start of platform development projects, throughout the release of new products & variants, to the maintenance and continuous updates of the product configurator. We are working across the value chain in our global organization and closely with Platform Management in both the business and technical domains.
We are looking for a qualified Lead Specialist to oversee the introduction of the Configuration Lifecycle Management (CLM) strategy in Vestas and to oversee the development of Vestas capabilities across the value chain in relation to CLM.
Responsibilities
- To be developing strategic roadmap supporting business need for Product Configuration Management (PCM): Product Configuration Management, Product Change Management, Product Structure Management, Product Model Management
- To be global driver of knowledge and innovation within area of expertise and promote a culture of innovation and bold thinking through rapid testing and learning experimentation
- To be developing PCM business improvement roadmap, program plans, business cases, and realization strategies to implement upon defined strategies
- Oversee business improvement projects within PCM while acting as Business Design owner and Tech Lead under the Vestas Business Improvement Framework
- To be ensuring that business requirements are captured from all relevant stakeholders & translated into User stories & functional specifications to secure full delivery of end user solutions
- To support the development of the future strategy and seek further opportunities within projects of responsibility and provide frequent updates on Business Improvement Project progress
Qualifications
You value working in teams, and you are curios and willing to experiment with new emerging technologies. In addition, you have the following qualifications:
- Master's Degree within Engineering or Management of Technology combined with 5+ years' experience from an international environment in a large company- In-depth knowledge of methods within Configuration Lifecycle Management, variety management or Mass customization- Experience with running strategic business improvement projects as Lead Specialist
- Experience with implementing radical changes in an organization
- Have a high understanding of modularization techniques and principles
- High foundation on overall Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or directly related disciplines
- Significant basic knowledge of PLM, MES, ERP systems
- Solid Lead Specialist knowledge within the CLM domain and a good understanding of business development, digitalization, and business transformation
- Good English skills and able to speak with everyone in the organization
