The position
This is a newly established role where you will have the responsibility of acting as the Communication Partner to the EVP of Development and leading a newly established area of communicators. In this role, you will report to the Executive Assistant to the EVP of Development and head of the Executive Office. You will be a part of the executive set-up around the EVP of Development and the Development Leadership team.
Your main responsibilities will be focused on:
- Acting as trusted advisor to the EVP of Development on strategic communication matters as well as in the day-to-day deliverables
- Implementing and lead the newly established communication area in Development with responsibility for leading and developing a team with a focus on continued career, talent and competency development
- Leading the Communication department in Development with the responsibility of defining strategically anchored communication priorities with a high level of professionalism and quality in the execution
- Managing the development and implementation of effective communication priorities to engage employees by sharing the company's vision, values, and business objectives and foster a positive and inclusive environment in line with the Novo Nordisk Way
To succeed with the responsibilities outlined above, you will work close collaboration with your team as well as a broad set of partners which includes the Development leadership team, a network of Executive Assistants, Strategy team, P&O as well as the Global Communication department and other key stakeholders from the broader Novo Nordisk value chain.
As the role entails responsibility of both strategic communications partnering as well as people leadership, it is important that you have experience with both and that you thrive with various tasks at hand in your daily work.

Qualifications
To be a competitive candidate, you should have:
- A MSc degree in any related field and minimum 10–15 years of work experience from working in a large global company
- Strong professional communication background and impactful narrator with extensive experience as strategic communication advisor from other corporate environments
- Experience as a people leader, especially with guiding teams in time of transition and experience in coaching
- Profound business experience (pharma experience is an advantage)
- Experience in role modelling an enterprise mindset and promoting a culture of cross-functional collaboration
- Considerable experience in stakeholder management and change communication

Development is responsible for developing and maturing innovative treatment solutions in the form of drugs, devices and digital companions to address unmet medical needs and improve lives of people with diabetes, obesity and other serious chronic diseases. In the Development Executive Office, we work with both projects, processes and communication partnering towards the Executive Vice President (EVP) of Development, the Development Leadership, the Development organisation as well as the broader Novo Nordisk value chain. The Executive office is a unit focused on collaboration to ensure we create progress and execute on our various tasks. We have an informal atmosphere with emphasis on creating an engaging working environment.
