Building on a legacy of research and innovation, Lantmännen has recently invested in a cutting-edge plant for plant-based protein in Lidköping and formed a strategic partnership with Ingredion, a global leader in ingredient solutions for food, beverages, and industrial applications. This collaboration is set to accelerate advancements in plant-based proteins and enhance the company's capacity to meet growing market demands.
Job description
As the new CEO, you will together with your management team and organization, focus on efficiency improvements and capacity increases in production, but above all, ensure the success of the new investment in plant-based protein, an investment that further strengthens Lantmännen' s entire value chain from farm to fork.
You will lead a diverse organization managing multiple production lines and customer groups. The role offers a broad exposure with responsibilities for both food products and biofuels, and with a strong focus on sustainability and socially critical production. You will interact and collaboration with diverse groups, including political stakeholders, researchers, and farmers to ensure the company’s sustainable development and future growth.
The role is based in Norrköping, with operations also in Lidköping and Kimstad. Regular travel is expected.
Your main tasks will be to:
- Pursue a long-term strategy with a focus on cost and growth, ensuring that Biorefineries remain competitive within sustainable biorefineries.
- Continue the cultural transformation implementing “One Biorefineries”.
- Secure the establishment and sales of the new pea protein investment.
- Ensure the continued development of existing products while driving the refinement and innovation of new products.
- Strengthen and further develop the collaboration with Ingredion.
- Increase efficiency and productivity within the different production sites.
- Further develop the sales channels.
- Provide a strategic direction as well as build on and strengthen leadership in the organisation to drive organizational growth.
Who are you?
We are looking for an engaging, visionary and inclusive leader. The ideal candidate is also a skilled communicator with strong relationship-building skills.
Requirements:
- CEO or senior business leader with budget responsibility.
- Experience from an international setting.
- Successful track record of operations – managing production facilities and creating business opportunities based on profitability.
- Sales and marketing experience.
- Change management experience.
- Understanding of health & safety.
- Relevant academic degree.
- Swedish and English, verbal and in writing.
Additional Merits:
- Experience from the process industry, preferably refineries.

- Present and clear in the leadership, with the ability to communicate both successes and challenges in a straightforward and inspiring manner.
