Materials Specialist for biomass-fired power plants

Join us in this role where you’ll be a materials specialist that supports our projects and operations with expertise in high-temperature and high-pressure materials and/or corrosion for our Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plants in Denmark. You’ll have a wide interface with large parts of our organisation and gain insights into how we operate our CHP plants and ensure sustainable operations. You’ll be part of Mechanical & Electrical Systems where you, together with your colleagues, will share knowledge and collaborate to ensure safe and efficient operation and continuous improvement of our CHP plants. Our team of highly skilled technical specialists work together on various complex maintenance projects, CAPEX projects, R&D projects, and operational support tasks. As a team, we foster continuous learning, share expertise, and support each other’s’ growth to achieve our objectives. We prioritise a positive working environment with humour and strong team spirit.
You’ll play an important role in:
- serving as a materials specialist, utilizing your expertise and knowledge to support our bio-fired CHP plants in Denmark
- providing service-minded materials expertise for various mechanical systems, such as boilers, steam turbine etc., district heating and cooling, and Carbon Capture plants
- providing operational support, including analysing and detecting technical errors using various monitoring equipment and operational data
- optimizing and improving energy systems in terms of safety, efficiency, reliability, and availability
- conducting assessment of remaining lifetime and fitness for service.
To succeed in the role, you:
- hold a bachelor’s or a master’s degree with emphasis on materials science
- will have deep knowledge and experience within topics like corrosion, high-pressure and high-temperature materials etc., or have an interest and willingness to gain such expertise
- have analytical and systematic skills to solve complex issues
- work well on tasks individually and as part of a team
- communicate effectively in English.
