Your role and responsibilities
ABB Norway PAEN (Process Automation and Energy Industries) is involved in projects delivering electrical equipment and advanced control systems covering a broad field of applications, such as the oil and gas industry, subsea electrical systems, power from shore to oil installations, offshore wind, hydro power plants, onshore Aluminum plants, and more. In this position, you will have a unique opportunity to acquire knowledge of leading recognized technological solutions and build networks within Norwegian industry. As our new front-end sales manager, Industry, you will lead sales and tender processes within for a Greener industry Business. Through a dynamic collaboration with skilled colleagues from various departments, third-party suppliers, and close contact with the customer, you will lead our strategic investment within Industry. ABB believes in a better sustainable and healthy future for producing industry and believes we can be a key supplier in the market. Your responsibilities: • Lead sales team and further develop strategy • Submit accepted tenders for project execution • Build long term customer relationships to position ABB in the market • Promote and sell ABB’s complete solution portfolio into selected market segments with full accountability for achieving the sales targets • Understand, evolve, and implement Sales and Market Strategy • Responsible/Leading the bid during the whole sales phase - from the lead phase until landing the order • Establish and lead pursuits in close collaboration with Account Managers and other sales personnel • Tight integration and collaboration with the organization for market development, studies, and solutions as well as other sales and marketing function Traveling in connection with customer visits is required, and candidates with a willingness to travel on short notice will be appreciated.
Qualifications for the role
- 5+ years of experience in sales, studies, and/or engineering
- BSc/MSc in Engineering or Business within electrical, automation engineering or similar field of study
- Fluent in English (Written and spoken)
- Interest in, and passion for, Industry markets
- We believe the right person also have strong communication- and leadership skills, as well as a structured and quality-oriented mindset. Suitable candidates will be considered, even if experience or formal education is not according to the requirements above
