We are looking for a Category Lead to join our Global Service Procurement team.

Vestas Technology and operations > Procurement > CAPEX Tools and MRO
You will join an experienced team that plays a pivotal role in supporting Vestas' global manufacturing operations. You will work closely with stakeholders at all levels to understand business requirements and drive the execution of MRO procurement strategies, ensuring a sustainable, scalable, and high-performing supply base.
In this role, you will contribute to develop and implement a globally aligned strategy for MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) procurement ensure the supply of high-quality materials and services that indirectly support production efficiency. With an annual spend of € 200 million, primarily within Vestas' production facilities, you will ensure that procurement processes are streamlined, data-driven, and aligned with Vestas' operational goals..

Responsibilities
Your everyday activities will be characterized by high speed and the requirement to engage in, direct and prioritize between multiple critical projects. Overall expected deliverables include:

  • Responsible for global procurement of MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) materials and services for Vestas' global factories
  • Lead and manage end-to-end procurement activities in alignment with key stakeholders on cost contro
  • Drive supplier relationship management, including qualification, supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, and performance improvement initiative
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize the MRO supply chain, focusing on total cost of ownership, sustainability, and scalability
  • Champion the implementation of new ways of working and continuous improvement of operational efficiency across factories
  • Supplier consolidation to ensure supply chain optimization based on total landed cost, strategy and roadmap development
  • Full understanding of Commodity KPI governance and effective engagement in performance improvement to achieve targets

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 Years experience in global procurement and relevant bachelor's degree in e.g., Business, Engineering, Economics, Finance
  • Efficient communication skills and extensive experience with stakeholder management
  • Comprehensive analytical experience and able to work in excel and with pivots. SAP and SAP ARIBA is also welcomed
  • As our corporate language is English, fluency in English is required, both verbally and in writing

  • Advanced communication skills in English
