Who we’re looking for
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineer (mechanical or manufacturing) to join our team to optimize some of our manufacturing processes and equipment in the field of Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cell (SOEC) metal and glass components. You will play a crucial role in optimizing and supporting our screen-printing and components manufacturing processes to improve efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the development and improvement of our equipment, ensuring that we safely produce materials that meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Specifically, you will be working on:

  • Process Optimization: Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes (e.g. screen printing) for glass and metal SOEC components. Identify areas for improvement, reduce waste, and enhance productivity through the application of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and production support teams to drive process improvements, resolve technical issues, and ensure seamless integration of new products or processes.
  • Equipment Selection and Maintenance: Select appropriate equipment and machinery for manufacturing glass and metal SOEC components. Oversee equipment maintenance activities, ensure optimal performance, and minimize downtime through proactive maintenance strategies.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to establish and maintain quality control measures. Develop and implement inspection and testing procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to improve product quality.
  • Work closely with supply chain teams to optimize material flow, reduce lead times, and improve overall supply chain efficiency. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials and components.
  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all relevant safety guidelines and regulations while performing tests and experiments. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of test procedures, results, and findings. Prepare comprehensive reports and present findings to stakeholders, including management and technical teams.

What you’ll bring
We expect you to have:

  • A bachelor's degree (minimum) in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • Documented experience in manufacturing processes, preferably in the field of glass and metal SOEC components.
  • Familiarity with quality control and assurance techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in conducting tests, data analysis, and interpretation.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A drivers license as some of our equipment is located elsewhere

Why join us
We are a group of technically knowledgeable individuals in equipment, process and materials for SOEC. We are considerate, helpful, and science-minded, with a strong foundation in R&D PtX technologies. Our main role is to ensure the development, up-scale and transfer of cell and component technologies towards pilot and productions sites. This involves optimizing and adjusting processes to ensure they remain efficient, cost-effective, and safe when scaled-up. We aim to minimize risks and provide pragmatic innovation solutions.

If you are passionate about industrial engineering, glass and metal SOEC components, and driving process optimization, we would love to hear from you.

We enjoy a high degree of freedom to plan our daily work but you should also expect a dynamic environment with changing priorities, deadlines and risk to navigate. We share the workload and expect mutual flexibility to get the job done.

The company language is English for reporting and in most meetings. Our department consists of individuals from diverse backgrounds, with approximately one-third being female and half representing foreign nationalities.
