The position
You will join MIC3, located at Hagedornsvej which is responsible for conducting virus, mycoplasma, residual DNA and Bacterial Endotoxin Testing (BET). Our test methods differ from traditional microbiological testing, and we need your help to support the automation agenda.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Analysis responsible for one of our analytical test method.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders in the process of procuring and qualifying robotic solutions and successfully implementing them in our daily operations.
  • Validating and qualifying analysis methods on robots for the BET and resDNA testing.

Your secondary responsibilities will include:

  • Assuming the role as back-up responsible for several of the team's analysis.
  • Document preparation, including analytical procedures, job instructions, laboratory investigations, and deviation reports, product validations for.
  • Supporting the team's laboratory technicians performing the analysis.
  • Overseeing your area of responsibility during inspections by various authorities and preparing responses to regulatory queries.

Qualifications
To succeed in this position, you:

  • Have a relevant academic degree in natural sciences, such as pharmacy, engineering or similar
  • Have ideally 3 or more years’ of experience in a similar role.
  • Are experienced in working with automation (e.g. Biomek/PyroTech etc.) and equipment in a QC laboratory.
  • Have preferably prior qualification experience and working with TIMS, URS, IQ/OQ/PQ or similar systems.
  • Desire to contribute to process optimization and improvement leading by an example.

The role involves routine work in an operational laboratory, where the day-to-day can be busy and dynamic. Flexibility is crucial, and your ability to contribute to positive working relationships with colleagues and customers is important.

About the department
QC Microbiology is part of Product Supply organization, and we conduct all microbiological analyses on in-process samples, bulk, finished products, raw materials, environment samples, and new products from Novo Nordisk’ R&D pipeline. Our work is crucial in ensuring high-quality products and on-time delivery to more than 60 customer departments. The department consists of five teams that collaborate closely. In total, we have approximately 75 employees in the department, including 16 microbiologists/professionals where the remaining staff comprises of laboratory technicians and managers.

Your team – MIC3 consists of 3 microbiologists and 9 laboratory technicians, with a diverse blend of experience, ranging from newly educated to employees with over 25 years of experience. The team strongly emphasizes mutual support, openness, and fostering a strong sense of community
