The job
Here’s what the job entails
In the role, you will support with developing and maintaining algorithmic trading strategies, using your analytical skills to analyse problems and develop solutions. Concretely, your areas of responsibility include:
- support with developing and back testing algorithmic trading strategies, using machine learning and analytical models
- maintaining existing strategies and projects, using python
- analyse data to identify trading opportunities

As our new student employee, you will join our Automated Trading team which specialises in developing and implementing algorithmic trading strategies for the European intraday power markets. We focus on leveraging technology and data analysis to optimise trading performance.
We are a team of motivated individuals from varying backgrounds, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of algorithmic trading. Our culture values collaboration, innovation and continuous learning. And we encourage open communication and idea-sharing among team members.

Your qualifications

As you will be carrying out analyses used for decision-making, we imagine that you apply a data-driven, critical and analytical approach to problem-solving. We are also looking for someone with a sense for details and structure as you will work with various cases that require thorough analysis.
Furthermore, we imagine that you:
- are currently enrolled in a relevant study, e.g. within data science, computer science, mathematics, physics, economics or engineering
- have proficiency in Python
- have an interest in machine learning techniques and frameworks
- are curious about the financial markets and trading principles
