R&D Senior Manager, Product Integration

In this role you will get the chance to build and lead a smaller, newly established Product Integration team in R&D, Sensors, Solution & Accessory Development. The team is focusing on integrating different technologies within for example mechanics, material science and chemistry into world class products applying system engineering principles and design control. The team has roles as Technical Lead and Product Design Owner, with responsibility for the design of a product either during a development project or post-launch. The team is responsible for establishing and maintaining requirements, interface specifications and drive related verification activities together with the subject matter experts in the organization.
The team’s success relies on their ability to work closely with our key collaborators such as other R&D specialists, Project Managers, Production, Regulatory affairs, Clinical affairs, Service etc., hence the role as R&D Senior Manager, Product Integration’s ability to build strong networks is key. In addition to the people manager role, it is expected that you also engage in the project activities yourself as a way to set the direction and create results. As the team is still new and we are building our Systems Engineering capabilities, there is an opportunity to shape how we work both within the team as well as outside the team.
This position is part of Radiometer Global R&D in the Acute Care Diagnostics Business Unit, and our products span our world leading ABL, TCM and AQT product systems. The position and the team are located in Brønshøj, Copenhagen. At Radiometer, our vision is to improve global healthcare with reliable, fast, and easy patient diagnoses.
You will be a part of a strong and diverse leadership team where each leader has the responsible for a specific competence area, for example electrochemistry and mechanics. Together we form the needed capabilities to develop and maintain lifesaving consumables. To strengthen our ability of efficient project execution, we for this role prioritize in-depth experience within product development and ideally systems engineering.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead and develop a group of highly skilled individuals into a high-performing team
- Take active part in bringing Radiometers products to a new level of performance for the benefit of our customers
- Establish new work processes and drive competency build-up within Systems Engineering and Design Controls
- Solve complex challenges by driving alignment and decisions including multiple technology areas as well as business needs
- Build and drive internal and external collaborations to support efficient and robust project result and execution
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor of Science or Master of Science or similar within relevant engineering field eg Biomechanical, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- Multiple years of experience working with technically complex solutions combining multiple engineering disciplines
- Documented experience of bringing products from idea to market utilizing Systems engineering principles and Design Control
- Experience working with Project management tools
- A highly collaborative style of working and ability to drive decision making of complex problems
- English (written and spoken)
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience within people management, but we also welcome applicants that have the ambition to move into this field but not yet tried it formally.
