Do you want to use your information security experience and AI knowledge to advise and enable one of the most innovative pharmaceutical companies in the world? Do you want to be part of a strong team of information security experts, and make a difference by turning security into a business enabler? Are you capable of shaping the direction and transition of security capabilities within the AI and emerging technology space? We are looking for an individual with a strong foundation in information security, technology and risk-thinking. You will naturally engage with topics around cloud security, data protection and AI.
If that is your case, you are on the path to become our next Information Security Advisor in Global Information Security Advisory for Technology & Infrastructure.
What’s the role about?
As our new Information Security Advisor with focus on AI, you will utilize your knowledge to shape, drive and realise a vast number of AI-enabled business & IT projects across company, on a global scale. You will be a member of the Global Information Security Advisory team, where you will enable the secure and responsible use of AI-technologies and processes by collaborating with stakeholders from IT and business, to define and succeed with AI-related initiatives. You and your fellow advisors work in a vast landscape of stakeholders, areas and systems, but we’re supporting across functional areas, and you’re always near a colleague ready to assist.
Part of your responsibilities will be:
- Applying broad knowledge and understanding of topics within AI Security such as deep learning, machine learning, large language models and practical experience with generative AI, when working with business and IT projects to enable secure and responsible use
- Keep yourself updated on topics within AI Security such as new technologies, new frameworks, legislation, threats and novel use of existing technologies
- Understand and tech-translate legislative effects on information security in relevant areas, e.g. EU AI Act or NIS2, with help from legal counsel and security advisory colleagues
- Work within pre-defined frameworks while also continually identifying gaps, improve and suggest changes
- Be an integral part of our AI community of practice in Novo Nordisk and continue to build on our established role as the trusted AI security partner
We expect you to participate in seminars, poster sessions, hackathons, panel discussions and communicate broadly to colleagues on all levels throughout the organization. The job is in Ballerup, Denmark with limited travel. Although our office is in Ballerup, you will be expected to visit other sites in the greater Copenhagen area from time to time, typically a few times per month, depending on project activity, e.g. Søborg, Ørestad, Bagsværd.
Candidate profile
You are considered a skilled information security professional with experience and understanding of information security concepts and technologies. Furthermore, you have worked with and have a strong interest in AI in general, but large language-models and machine-learning in particular.
To be successful in this role, we believe that you should have implementation and operational experience with:
- Practical experience with cloud computing, design challenges and cloud security
- At least 5 years of experience with information security in a large organisation
- Experienced in pinpointing and evaluating security risks in IT solutions
- Be prepared to adopt a component risk approach, where some components involve AI
- Experience with threat scenario development and threat-modelling. Good understanding of data flows in a modern data science organisation including ingest, transformation and data warehousing.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GPCS, CCSP or similar are a plus but not a requirement. Training in the topics of information security in general, cloud security, application security or similar is a plus, but not a requirement
As a person you are able to work well in a team and communicate complex technological solutions and concepts to a broader audience. If you are positive, pragmatic and with a heart beating for information security and with a good (or bad) sense of humour you will fit in great with colleagues from Global Information Security.
