We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Product Owner to lead Developer Experience initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders across the organization. You will join our Software Engineering Platforms team, where we create cutting-edge developer platforms. Behind the title
The ideal candidate is a Product Owner with a background in software development and experience in UX. As the DevEx Product Owner you will play a crucial role in advocating for our developers' needs and enhancing their productivity, satisfaction, and effectiveness. You will spearhead initiatives to optimize tools, streamline processes, and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement in our software development practices. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and departments to ensure that the developer experience remains a priority in our technical initiatives.
Additionally, your responsibilities include:
- Gather feedback and insights from developers to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement in the developer experience.
- Establish and track metrics related to developer productivity, satisfaction, and the impact of developer experience improvements.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and infrastructure teams to align technical initiatives with a developer-centric approach.
- Managing a well-structured backlog that tracks and reports on DevEx initiatives.
- Manage and moderate content on Developer Portal
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand key drivers for deliveries to enable ongoing prioritization and content elaboration
- Clarifying and coordinating dependencies with other Product Owners, Product Management, external stakeholders, and development teams
- Facilitating an involving and constructive dialogue with senior stakeholders to ensure needed resources are available.
Which competencies to bring?
To succeed in this role, we expect you tick most of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with proficiency in multiple programming languages and development frameworks.
- Strong understanding of user experience (UX) principles and their application to developer tools and processes.
- Experience with DevOps practices, agile methodologies, and continuous delivery.
- Excellent communication and advocacy skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive change.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- OKR definition, tracking and reporting and experience with backlog management in Azure DevOps
