Internship - Model Developer

Join us in this role where you’ll assist in developing tools to model the latest technology and price developments in offshore wind energy. The tools you help build will ensure that our business cases can be prepared efficiently and reflect our latest knowledge of the market – this is key to securing our future global portfolio.

You’ll be part of Cost Models & Cost Analytics where you, together with your colleagues, will be an integral part of the Cost Engineering team, which operates with a global perspective. Based in our Kuala Lumpur office, you’ll work closely with the team's Model Developers. Your role will involve supporting the development of models for budget estimating. You'll be part of a supportive team of skilled and dedicated colleagues who will help you along the way. As a team, we work cross-functionally and with colleagues around the globe. You’ll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in our industry for a six to eight months internship, gaining relevant professional skills currently used in the workforce. You’ll support our vision in enabling a greener future of the most sustainable company in the world.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • reviewing and documenting our Excel-based cost estimating models
  • translating formulas from the documented Excel-based cost estimating models into Python functions
  • assisting model developers in setting up cost estimating model schemas for our new platform
  • implementing automation solutions to generate high-level estimating models.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • are proficient in working with MS Excel
  • have experience or a desire to work with:
    • writing Python scripts, and/or Automating Excel using VBA or
    • TypeScript with Office.JS
  • are familiar with databases
  • work and deliver independently with a proactive and structured approach and a drive to handle complex tasks.
