Business Development Manager
We have ambitious plans to grow our business in established markets (North America and Europe) within select consumer health categories with a focus on digestive health and dietary supplements. To support this aspiration, we are looking to expand our team of Business Development Managers who will report to one of our Business Development Directors.
To succeed in this role, you’ll possess a strong business acumen and be commercially savvy across disciplines spanning customer engagement, sales, market and consumer insights, route to market and point of sales.
You will have excellent communication skills with fluency in English. You’ll also be a master of all aspects of the business development process and responsible for managing your own project portfolio.
A positive, enthusiastic and winning attitude is critical to thrive in this job, as well as a profound understanding of the importance of teamwork as you will have many touch points across the organization.
You should expect to travel around 20-30 days per year.
Key accountabilities
• Perform market research to identify our target audience’s (both customer and consumer) wants, needs, pain points, and purchasing decisions.
• Analyze consumer demands, markets, and competitors’ products to find new consumer centric product development opportunities to help grow business of existing customers but importantly build relationships with potential new business partners.
• Establish joint focus on product development pipeline with these partners which is in alignment with Fertin’s Select Consumer Health strategy and product portfolio.
• Prepare and present business cases and recommendations, including financial modelling, to senior management through Fertin’s stage gate process.
• Lead the negotiation of new product development, supply and license agreements.
Role location
Ideally, this role will be located in Denmark.
Required experience and competencies
Your background will include a relevant education. You’ll have significant experience within business development, channel and category development in a FMCG or Pharma environment and with high involvement products. You will be confident with working with large international customers and have a solid track record of generating new business.
You are a team player, self-motivated, results-oriented and tenacious. You will also be analytically strong, good with numbers and take responsibility of your area.
Previous familiarity of working with consumer health categories like dietary supplements, digestive health or pharma products is a plus.
