Want to be part of the 2025 EU Presidency in Denmark as a Team Leader?
Together with Crone & Co | Impact Group, Moment is handling recruitment and manpower coordination for the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in connection with the Danish 2025 EU Presidency, which will run from July through to November 2025. We are already in the process of recruiting capable Liaison Officers, who will be there to assist and support the visiting VIP delegations. You can read more about your responsibilities here.
In this connection, we are looking for three capable Team Leaders, who will be the Liaison Officers’ closest contacts during the EU Presidency, and will be involved in preparing materials etc. before the EU Presidency starts in July. Among other things, you can look forward to working on:
- Production of training materials for the Liaison Officers in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- Arranging and facilitating induction days, which all Liaison Officers have to attend in the course of June 2025
- Drawing up an electronic handbook for Liaison Officers, containing a description of their responsibilities, expectations of them, matters of etiquette and protocol, dos and don’ts when dealing with VIP delegations etc.
- Before each meeting, you will also produce a ‘script’ for the Liaison Officers, containing a detailed programme for the day, pictures of the delegations for recognition, and detailed general information relating to the meeting. You will do this is close collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- Conduct guided tours of the conference facilities prior to each ministerial meeting and ahead of visits from the European Commission. These tours will typically take place the day before, so you should allow for travel throughout Denmark.
- You will also take part in or be present at some of the meetings
You will generally be working closely with Moment, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Crone & Co | Impact Group. Up to the actual induction days when the Liaison Officers are to be trained, there is a lot of administrative and coordination work to be done – and here you may be physically located in Moment’s offices in Copenhagen or in Aarhus.
What do you need to be a Team Leader?
To be considered, you must meet the following requirements:
- As a minimum, you must have completed first and second stage tertiary education or have at least 5 years’ experience in the hospitality and/or travel sector and at least 2 years’ experience of management and shift planning. You should upload evidence of this in the application process.
- You must have direct experience of operating in other countries or cultures, e.g. from stays abroad, work, placements, study, exchange programmes or the like. This should be described in your CV.
- You must be proficient in at least one EU language apart from English (there are 24 official languages – Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Irish, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Maltese, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish and Swedish)
- You must have a permit to work in Denmark
It is a condition of employment that you should have security clearance to level TTJ ("EU restricted") from the Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET). We expect this to take up to 3 months, so you must be able to present a clean criminal record. This can be requested from borger.dk or politi.dk; it must be no more than one month old and should be uploaded with your application.
As we have to await final security clearance, you will not receive a contract of employment until 1 April 2025.
The process therefore comprises screening – approval of documents – assessment and interview – security clearance – employment – planning and coordination.
Training and introduction to the role of Team Leader
You will have a thorough introduction to the roles of Team Leader and Liaison Officer, so you have a clear understanding of the job before you start. This will be handled in collaboration between Moment, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Crone & Co | Impact Group
You will also be trained in shift planning and communication paths, so you can make quick decisions in the event of changes in the Liaison Officer’s programme.
Practical
In this role, you must expect to be available to the Liaison Officers, so it is defined as a full-time position from April to November 2025.
Your remuneration package is made up of a fixed monthly salary, which will be presented to you during the recruitment process.
As meetings will be held in Jutland and in Copenhagen, we are recruiting for both regions – probably one post in Jutland and two in Copenhagen. However, you should expect a lot of travel from both areas in the term of your contract.
Process
We will be running a physical assessment in Copenhagen on Friday 10 January 2025 from 11:00-15:00 incl. lunch, when we will provide further details of the role and responsibilities and conduct individual interviews. There will also be case and group work. It is a condition of employment that you should be able to take part in this assessment.
You will be informed of the outcome by Tuesday 14 January 2025.
Please state in your application:
- Your educational background and/or relevant professional experience
- Language skills (you must be proficient in one EU language apart from English)
- You experience of operating abroad
- A brief statement on your reasons for applying
We look forward to hearing from you.
