Team and Role

As part of the Infrastructure & Automation team you will assist in delivering high quality solutions that builds, manage, and rolls out automated software deployments to our crucial test infrastructure.

You will get to know both software and hardware, but you will also experience the importance and value of proper documentation ensuring that others may follow-up on your solutions.

Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include:

• Development and maintenance of our CI/CD Infrastructure (Automation of image build/deployment, test initiation/reporting, software releasing etc.)
• Scriptable orchestration and provisioning
• Development of infrastructure as code, and configuration as code
• Produce and maintain technical documentation of hardware and software solutions
• Maintenance of development and reference systems at Terma

You will also:

• Participate in the team alignment events like planning, refinement, retrospective, and review & demo
• Spar and share knowledge with your fellow engineers in the R&D organization
• Participate in test activities necessary to ensure reference systems are ready for use
• Participate in delivering support to users of test environments and to ensure effective use
• Participate in creating a good, healthy, and fun environment for you and your colleagues to work in

Qualifications
The key qualifications include:

• Extensive experience with Linux incl. Scripting
• Proficient in Configuration as Code
• You understand, speak, read, and write English at a Professional level (all documentation and much communication are in English)

Nice to have qualifications:

• Virtualization and container orchestration
• Fundamental Network and database understanding
• Jenkins / Gerrit or other software for automation of Build, Test, Deployment and code review
• Windows and Power shell
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) is advantageous
• Ability and eagerness to learn, adapt, and collaborate in a team-oriented environment to support the R&D Organization and business
• A natural “can do” attitude and a high level of curiosity to find solutions
