About the job
As our new Product Regulatory Specialist, you will be based at our Head office in Hørsholm and be part of the Regulatory Intelligence & Conformity (RIC) Team (other locations can be considered if a suitable candidate is found), which is part of VELUX Standardisation & Technical Performance (STP) function consisting of 18 skilled colleagues. We work with relevant standards, legislations, and requirement specifications to ensure the long-term technical and regulatory relevance of our product offerings.

In this role, you will be responsible for, in collaboration with your team members and other colleagues, exploring how standards and legislation in your area of responsibility can affect the VELUX product portfolio. You are expected to use your knowledge and your technical insight to engage in relevant discussions to find solutions and advise your internal stakeholders.

Your responsibilities and tasks:

• Be responsible for monitoring and interpreting current and upcoming EU legislations including but not limited to areas such as Cybersecurity (Resilience and Artificial Intelligence Acts), Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC), Radio Equipment Directive (RED), Battery Directive and Ecodesign.
• Engage stakeholders and communicate your findings to both specialists and non-specialists to future proof our products.
• Represent VELUX in external networks e.g., relevant working groups of VELUX product-related standards.
• Work with team members and other stakeholders to explore how current and emerging standards and legislation in your areas of responsibilities can impact the VELUX product portfolio.
• Provide input to product requirement specifications in your area for new and modified VELUX products.
• Monitor and involve as needed the development of relevant product and sustainability standards that may affect our product portfolio.

About you
The position is open for both new graduates and experienced professionals, and the title will be adjusted accordingly. Thus, we encourage all levels of experience to apply as the role may be adjusted for the right profile.

Furthermore, we expect that you:

• Have a solid technical foundation (a degree in engineering or equivalent) coupled with great analytical skills.
• Are skilled at reading legislation and standards to analyse and spot trends.
• Take a data driven approach to problem solving and share your findings with your stakeholders.
• Approach teamwork with a willingness to collaborate, you communicate well with others, and you can express key messages clearly.
• Have worked with similar standards and legislations affecting products, and potentially how they apply to construction products.
• Have experience in implementing EU-legislative work in a corporate context
• Have previously worked in a role where you have managed a wide array of stakeholders.
• Thrive by engaging with many different stakeholders and representing your area of responsibility.
• Speak, read, and write English at high professional level
