As our Payroll Specialist, based at our headquarters in Ballerup, you will be joining our Payroll team where, together with the Payroll Lead, you will be responsible for all payroll matters for our employees in Ambu A/S and Ambu Ltd. The payroll department is an integrated part of the Global Finance & Accounting. This position will report into the Payroll Lead, Marianne Larsen.
Key responsibilities
As our new Payroll Specialist, you will take ownership of and communicate with our external payroll providers for our employees in Norway, Finland, Sweden, UK and Ireland. You will be responsible for accurate and timely execution of the payroll and the monthly reconciliations. You will be the point of contact when employees from the respective countries might have questions or concerns related to their payroll. You will work closely with our HR department who will give input on new contracts, changes, and resignations. You will also be responsible for documentation to the auditors and handling of ad hoc payroll related tasks.
Overview of responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely execution of payroll in Norway, Finland, Sweden, UK and Ireland
- Communication with payroll providers and review of their deliverables
- Process, book and reconcile monthly payroll
- Ensure quality in payroll preparation and calculations and correct payroll accruals
- Support the organization and answer employee’s questions and concerns regarding payroll
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies
- Manage taxes, social security, and other reporting to Norway, Finland, Sweden, UK and Ireland authorities
- Stay informed of relevant local payroll related regulation and ensure knowledge is captured and documented and implemented in the payroll process
- Optimize processes related to payroll and maintain process descriptions
Suggested candidate profile
As you will be responsible for salary and communication with the payroll providers, it is crucial that you take ownership and are motivated by learning and optimizing the processes. We also imagine that you are a structured and detail-oriented person, who understand the need for good documentation to ensure compliance with laws, rules, guidelines, processes, and systems.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience within payroll processes and payroll systems
- Experience with Excel
- Accounting experience is advantageous
- Previous experience working with a payroll provider
- Might have experience with multiple country jurisdictions, preferably Norway, Finland, Sweden, UK and/or Ireland.
