Global Rewards & Mobility Director

ECCO SKO A/S

Do you dream of building something new and impactful? Are you ready to direct the charge in creating a cutting-edge global Rewards & Mobility function in a company that values innovation and progress?
This is your opportunity to join ECCO on an exciting journey as we transition from a local to a global set-up. Over the past year, we have been building the foundation of our new Rewards & Mobility function – now, we need your expertise to take it to the next level. With your experience in rewards and mobility, you will contribute to defining our strategy, shape our processes, and create a high-quality employee experience that enables engagement and excellence worldwide.

Make your mark in a global role
You’ll play a crucial role in motivating and retaining our global talent base while ensuring compliance and operational excellence across borders. And you’ll do it with a team that is excited about learning and achieving meaningful progress” says Group Senior Director Lise-Lotte Perregaard Thorsen.

What you will do
Based in Bredebro, Denmark, you will join the Global People & Operation team, a group of 14 colleagues, where you will head up a small but ambitious Global Rewards & Mobility team of 3. You will also become a key member of the Global People & Operation leadership team, working closely with the other managers to enable our strategy and align on key initiatives.

While the role is based in Bredebro, we are open to the right candidate working from our Copenhagen office. However, this will require you to be physically present in Bredebro at least once a month to collaborate with the team and immerse yourself in our headquarters environment.

Your role will be transformative, with a focus on developing and implementing processes within global rewards and mobility. As ECCO is currently rolling out a new global HCM system to cover 22,000 employees, you will handle the global compensation workstream over the next two years, collaborating with various business units to ensure alignment and buy-in.

Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing strategies for salary structures and the new EU pay transparency directive, benchmarking to secure our market position, and future-proofing bonus programs. Specifically, you and your team will:

  • Develop and implement a global mobility strategy, covering relocation and immigration
  • Ensure compliance with local and international tax laws, labor regulations, and integration requirements
  • Facilitate smooth transitions for new employees relocating to Denmark
  • Negotiate and collaborate with relocation and tax providers
  • Handle pension schemes for hourly- and salary-paid employees
  • Partner with global HR teams to align and implement global processes and policies

What you bring
You appreciate a strategic role with hands-on responsibilities and excel in leadership and program development. You’re inquisitive, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies. Additionally, we imagine you have:

  • Solid experience in global rewards and, ideally, mobility, gained from working in an international organization
  • Leadership experience with a proven ability to guide and inspire a team
  • Knowledge of international tax regulations, immigration policies, and labor law
  • Solid stakeholder management skills and great communication abilities to engage with management and boards
  • Fluency in English (Danish is an advantage but not a requirement)
