About the role
SimCorp is an independent provider of buy-side investment management solutions. This role is to become the head of SimCorp's global Solution Advisory team focusing on SaaS offerings, directing all presales activities from technology and solutions to business value, ensuring clients comprehend their SaaS benefits. As part of the global presales initiative in this business line, your main job will be to manage client engagements in a structured, collaborative and professional way.
Referring to the Corporate Vice President of SaaS and Business Services Commercial, you will be working closely with our global SaaS sales organization as well as our regional teams in their respective territories, ensuring that our approach is fully aligned globally, and we can reach our growth targets through technical feasibility studies, building solid business cases and providing state of the art technology for our customers.
About the team
You will be leading a team of experienced solution advisors, located throughout Europe but servicing customers globally. These individual contributors have extensive skills within our technology as well as solution provided business value and work closely with our regional SaaS sales representatives.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the Solution Advisory organization as part of the commercial SaaS team
- Be a member of the Global SaaS and Business Services leadership team, and work closely with the other leaders to advance the business forward
- Ensure effective presales engagements from value to technical solution
- Master and maintain the SaaS solution methodology, encompassing elements such as solution overview and design, integration architecture, security and compliance etc.
- Propel a business case and outcome-based sales process with the aim of delivering business-value driven business cases with solid ROIs for a SaaS decision.
- Coordinate day-to-day activities on pricing, customer engagements and RFx’s
- Outline and set strategic goals for the SaaS presales organization e.g. employee and organizational enablement, better alignment to sales, improve presales process and structure, tailor approach to be more customer-centric etc.
- Work closely across the organization with key stakeholders in the delivery organization
- Player-coach leadership with direct involvement in customer engagement yourself
- Leadership of a sales team with 4-5 direct reports.
Your qualifications
As the ideal candidate, you thrive in both commercial contexts and in technical domains, and can navigate in both contexts, and bridge across them. You will have lots of customer contact, both commercial and technical, so presentation skills, both in person and online are essential.
- Proficient leader qualities – both strategic, people and cross-functional guidance to enhance the business, employees, and organization forward towards same goal.
- A deep understanding of business value generation in regulated industries and business outcomes in financial services, and namely investment-management.
- Knowledge about building business cases for technology-investments anchored to value management processes and platforms.
- Understanding of the enterprise and application architecture in Financial Services, and understanding of enterprise- and solution architecture.
- Deep technical understanding of Microsoft Azure and IT managed services.
- Solid understanding of relevant regulatory and compliance frameworks for the financial sector, including deep technical security understanding.
- Willing to collaborate with others and ready to handle changes while focused on learning new technologies and practices.
- Fluent in English both spoken and written. Business proficiency in other languages is considered beneficial.
- Relevant educational background - Business and IT, Computer Science, or other relevant field.

For New York City only: The annual salary range for this position is $171,440 – 257,160 USD. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including health care, leave, and retirement plans. Your total compensation may vary based on role, location, department and individual performance.
