At AGC Biologics, we are looking for a motivated Senior Manager to lead our Manufacturing Excellence team.
About the Role
As the Senior Manager of Manufacturing Excellence, you lead a team focusing on manufacturing performance and support, driving continuous improvement of our processes, execution of projects supporting the strategy for manufacturing and driving and optimizing the planning (S&OP) strategy for manufacturing. Further, your role includes manufacturing strategy and objectives outlook development, operational performance monitoring and reporting and risk management. The Manufacturing Excellence team is responsible for:
- Master Planning of the manufacturing operations
- The S&OP process and associated stakeholder management
- Project Management of manufacturing related projects
- Driving Continuous Improvement initiatives focusing on manufacturing performance and dependencies in the value chain
- Defining and measuring manufacturing performance KPI’s
- Supporting the other teams and departments in the Manufacturing unit with direction and guidance, focusing on performance
Your team’s mission is to continuously optimize and standardize operational processes, ways of working and master planning to ensure a seamless flow throughout the manufacturing value chain organization. You and your team work closely with various stakeholders, manufacturing teams, quality organization, development and transfer organization, Operational Excellence, Engineering, etc, driving the overall continuous improvement concept for the manufacturing function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and coach your team, setting a clear direction and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Build strong collaboration and facilitate flow across teams, particularly with other areas of manufacturing, quality functions, and key stakeholders.
- Take ownership of optimization project and provide direction and guidance to your team members.
- Ensure all activities are aligned with manufacturing goals and operational requirements.
- Recruit and onboard new team members, fostering a supportive and engaging environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in natural sciences or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of related work experience including at least 3 years in a people leadership role is preferred.
- Demonstrated strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Strategic, tactical and operational skill sets.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality organization, and other departments.
- Experience in manufacturing management, lean manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in continuous improvement, project management and change management experience is an advantage.
- Experience in production planning and/or S&OP is an advantage.
