Startup Programme Manager - DTU Skylab

At DTU Skylab we are looking for an engaged startup programme manager with a minimum of 5 years of entrepreneurial experience working with or in startups. As our new Startup Programme Manager you will help support early-stage impact startups and participate in the redesign and implementation of our new startup offerings.

The Position
Our experience at DTU Skylab shows that entrepreneurship is an effective tool for competency building and personal growth. We believe that students and researchers hold the key to generating innovative solutions for a better, more sustainable tomorrow. Every day, we passionately work to support and motivate teams to embark on their own startup journeys through guidance, coaching, workshops, and providing a shoulder to lean on during tough times.
For eight years, we have successfully operated the Skylab Incubator and Ignite accelerator program, for early-stage impact startups. Currently, we are evaluating and re-designing our offerings, including a new climate tech track. Our aim is to create a more cohesive, impactful experience for our users.
With your background in entrepreneurship, you will help us analyze our current offerings and together with the team develop, manage, and drive our new joint program portfolio, collecting and aligning all the best elements from our existing programs.
As our new Startup Programme Manager, you will:
- be responsible for co-developing and maintaining our overarching programme curriculum
- plan and execute our programmes in coordination with the existing Skylab activities
- design, plan, and conduct new workshops on relevant startup topics
- take part in the mobilization of early-stage startups amongst DTU students and researchers
- coach individual startups on a weekly basis to help them progress
- together with the rest of the team handle the many diverse tasks that comes up from day to day
- occasionally take part in planned evening events
- evaluate and update programme content on an ongoing basis
We are looking for a new colleague with:
- qualified knowledge of entrepreneurship and startup needs
- minimum five years of entrepreneurial experience, working in or with startups
- project and/or process management experience
- applied experience in designing and facilitating workshops
- a proactive yet flexible approach to planning
- a positive, engaged nature with a co-creating mindset
- a flair for navigating the complex, sometimes unpredictable nature of startups
- an ability to constructively operate and interact with a large network of stakeholders
- a relevant higher education
- professional fluency in English, oral and written. Some proficiency in Danish required.

Salary and appointment terms
Salary and employment terms are according to the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC) or another relevant agreement. Preferable starting date is 1 March 2025.
The six-person strong Startup Coaching Team is part of a larger section of around 20 colleagues in total, supporting business development across both students and researchers. You will refer to the Team Leader Jonas Eliasson.
You will be employed at DTU Skylab, and the workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus, Kgs. Lyngby, Denmark.
