Your Role
As an Associate Mechanical Engineer at 3Shape, you will:
- Assist in Product Development: Contribute to the design, testing, and refinement of mechanical components for advanced 3D scanners and medical devices.
- Learn Regulatory Standards: Build knowledge in global medical device regulations, including FDA requirements and ISO 13485.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including electronics, optics, and software engineers, to develop integrated solutions.
- Use Advanced Tools: Apply CAD and simulation tools to support the creation and validation of innovative designs.
- Contribute to Quality Processes: Participate in prototyping, testing, and documentation aligned with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Develop Professional Skills: Gain practical insights while working with experienced mentors to advance your knowledge of medical device development.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone interested in starting their journey in medical device development. The ideal candidate will have:
- Educational Background: A B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related field.
- Passion for Innovation: Interested in contributing to high-quality, user-focused medical devices.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks). Experience with prototyping or manufacturing processes is beneficial.
- Collaborative Mindset: The ability to work within diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
- Detail-Oriented Approach: A focus on producing high-quality work while meeting deadlines.
- Eagerness to Learn: A willingness to develop knowledge in medical device standards, including FDA and ISO 13485 compliance.
