Welcome to Orsted North America Commercial
You’ll be part of The Growth Team where you, together with your colleagues, will help to ensure Ørsted stays ahead of competitors and by aiding in the optimization of our growth pipeline across offshore and onshore businesses for North America. You’ll work across the full scope of the Growth team’s mandate in market, customer, and technology prioritization for Ørsted North America. As a team, we Are a group of energy practitioners with a passion for how data, policy, and physical infrastructure are shaping what’s possible in the clean energy world.
You’ll play an important role in:
- conducting in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends and growth opportunities
- preparing detailed presentations for internal stakeholders and senior management to communicate key insights and recommendations
- supporting the development of strategic initiatives by synthesizing data, performing scenario analyses, and providing actionable insights
- monitoring federal, state, and local policy developments as they pertain to development and forward looking strategy
- assisting the broader commercial team in executing its mission on an ad hoc basis.
To succeed in the role, you:
- possess strong analytical skills with the ability to find, cleanse and interpret data
- have proficiency in data analysis, experience with a programming language considered a plus (e.g., Python, R), though advanced Excel skills are also acceptable
- have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely
- are able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- have the ability to collaborate well with others and the desire to seek out opportunities and challenges with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm.
