About the team
The Strategy, Portfolio & Planning team is a growing, passionate team of thinkers, makers, and doers focused on shaping Pandora’s digital future while enabling transparency and prioritization across Pandora’s digital portfolio. While our team sits in both Copenhagen and Warsaw, all Strategy team members are located in our Digital Hub in Copenhagen.
We work directly with the CDTO, senior stakeholders, digital teams, and colleagues to define and drive Pandora’s digital and technology vision and ensure we have the right level of governance in place to deliver on Pandora’s strategic themes. We lead the strategy development and translating it into clear and compelling narratives. In addition, we deliver executive support to our CDTO.
We're seeking a talented Strategy Manager to join our Strategy, Portfolio & Planning team and play a pivotal role in shaping our digital future and ensuring we deliver on our corporate and technology strategy and digital transformation & goals.
About the role
As a Strategy Manager you will be instrumental in driving strategic initiatives and larger strategy workstreams, supporting executive communications, and overseeing the execution of our corporate strategy. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on high-impact initiatives, providing exposure to Digital & Technology leaders and collaboration with a diverse range of business stakeholders.
Your role as Strategy Manager will be dynamic and will include:
- Strategy Planning & Development: Drive development of long-term technology strategies and initiatives that align with Pandora’s overarching company goals and vision. Identify opportunities to strengthen the technology organisation through analysis, external and internal research and provide strategic recommendations. Utilize and enhance capability models to align technology strategy with business objectives.
- Strategy Formulation & Communication: Lead strategy formulation workshops and sessions for key technology areas, including data strategy, e-commerce, and omnichannel initiatives, GenAI & predictive analytics, cloud, etc. Translate strategies into clear and compelling communication materials, ensuring alignment and understanding of the strategic goals across all stakeholders.
- Strategy Execution: Establish and support execution of larger strategy workstreams or initiatives. Drive value realization by establishing robust outcome measuring framework & lead development of metrics and OKRs to track the performance and impact of strategic initiatives. Develop frameworks and methodologies to evaluate technology investments and opportunities.
- Executive Support: Plan proactively for key strategic meetings and assist in the preparation of executive-level communications, presentations, and reports for Chief Digital and Technology Officer. Synthesize complex information into clear and compelling narratives to drive decision-making and strategic alignment. Support on priority strategic topics and collaborate closely with stakeholders across Pandora to create alignment and define actions.
What is needed to succeed:
We are looking for a proactive and driven Strategy Manager with strong analytical and problem-solving toolbox, with the ability to drive your own workstreams and projects. More specifically, you come with:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in management consulting or strategy development, preferably within retail or technology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to scope and break down problems, analyze root causes, and develop innovative solutions backed up by data and insights.
- Communication & interpersonal skills: Ability to articulate complex ideas to executive audiences in a clear and concise manner and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Project Management: Demonstrated experience in independently managing projects & programs from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Technology understanding: Solid understanding of technology trends, digital retail landscapes, and emerging technologies. Knowledge of retail-specific technologies is a plus.
- A proactive mindset, humble attitude and an ability to get things done – while also being a team player and contributing to the social aspects of work.
- Experience with business architecture and capability modelling is an advantage.
- A master’s degree in business, strategy, economics, engineering, or a related field.
