Description
Head of the Commercialisation Promotion Office, reporting to the Head of the Applications and Solutions Department, Directorate of Commercialisation, Industry and Competitiveness.
Under the direct authority of the Head of the Applications and Solutions Department, you will manage and coordinate the promotion of ESA’s commercialisation activities, as well as the Commercialisation Gateway and the Industry Gateway, the Directorate’s interface with industry, liaising with other departments in the Directorate. Close cooperation will be ensured with the Communication Department for all matters relating to B2B communications. You will also provide support services to the various commercialisation programmes of the Agency.
Duties
Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
- supporting the definition and implementation of the promotion strategy;
- implementing activities to promote ESA commercialisation programmes, including websites, social media channels, publishing and event support;
- raising the visibility of ESA’s partnerships with industry and maintaining interaction with a broad community of European companies;
- managing the ESA Commercialisation Gateway as a single, visible ESA interface with external non-space entities potentially interested in doing business in space;
- managing the Industry Gateway, in close coordination with the other departments in the Directorate;
- ensuring the coherence, synergy and efficiency of promotion activities across Directorate programmes and projects;
- reporting to the relevant ESA bodies on the main activities and output of the Office
You will also be responsible for identifying, assessing, managing and reporting the health and safety risks in your area of responsibility.
Technical competencies

Education
A master’s degree in a relevant scientific, technical or business field along with a master’s degree in marketing or business management are required for this post.

Important Information and Disclaimer
In principle, recruitment will be within the advertised grade band (A2-A4). However, if the selected candidate has less than four years of relevant professional experience following the completion of the master’s degree, the position may be filled at A1 level.
During the recruitment process, the Agency may request applicants to undergo selection tests. Additionally, successful candidates will need to undergo basic screening before appointment, which will be conducted by an external background screening service, in compliance with the European Space Agency's security procedures.
