The transformation of the 80-year-old railway system to a fully automated operation sets a new standard for the industry. Therefore, we are looking for a CBTC System Engineer to join our project team. This challenge attracts experts from all over the world to Copenhagen, where DSB and COWI's project organizations already employ more than 150 professionals, who all contribute with competencies at a high technical level.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Leading a critical role in the design, implementation, and maintenance process of CBTC systems
  • Ensuring the successful delivery of safe, reliable, and efficient train control systems
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the design meets the project requirements and complies with industry standards
  • Serve as a technical lead in CBTC technologies, including train control principles, radio communications, interlocking systems, and wayside equipment

On top of that, you will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree is not required, but advantageous
  • Preferably 8+ years’ experience within CBTC system design, implementation and commissioning
  • Excellent understanding of and experience with CBTC technologies, such as ATP and ATO, and associated communication protocols, and preferably experience with UTO driverless systems
  • Strong experience in writing and handling CBTC functional and technical requirements
  • Project management and leadership skills on a technical level
