Head of Ad Sales

The role

• Oversee and manage the entire advertising sales business in Finland, including linear, digital, and third-party sales partnerships.
• Develop and implement short-, mid-, and long-term strategies for advertising sales in Finland, covering areas such as product development, pricing, packaging, and sales tactics.
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities by building comprehensive business cases.
• Take ownership of budgeting, setting sales targets, and tracking performance for the Finnish advertising sales division.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Finland and across the broader Viaplay Group, including commercial, sports production, product, and tech teams.
• Act as a member of the Finnish management team, contributing to strategic decision-making.
• Lead and manage the Finnish ad sales team, fostering a high-performing and motivated work environment.

What we’re looking for
We understand you may feel confident ticking certain boxes more than others and that’s why we always keep an open mind in our recruitment process. But, in order to thrive in this role, we do believe you’ll have at least some experience in the following:

• Proven experience in the media industry and advertising sales.
• Previous management and team leadership experience.
• Background in sports and betting is a plus, considering upcoming changes in the Finnish betting market.
• Strong sales orientation with excellent negotiation skills.
• Well-established network within the media industry.
• Self-driven, motivated, and collaborative mindset.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Fluency in Finnish and English.
