Your new team
You will be part of our Technology Development Team consisting of 6 committed colleagues. The team enables EE’s technology development within PV and BESS technologies by working closely together with internal engineering functions, project developers as well as external collaborators.

Your new role
In this new role, you will become a cornerstone for EE’s BESS ramp-up. We are working both on integration projects with existing assets and with the new project developments looking at both stand-alone and hybrid BESS projects across our entire market reach.

Areas of responsibilities

  • You will be interfacing with key stakeholders internally and externally
  • Making sure to create and maintain a technology overview with current and future trends in the BESS industry, ensuring that EE builds and maintains a competitive edge
  • Ensuring that EE focuses on and chooses the right technologies for its projects
  • You will be heavily involved in BESS system design and engineering
  • Drive the development and refinement of engineering standards, documentation, and BESS-related processes
  • Act as a technical reference for the discussions during development, procurement, engineering, and construction works. Including techno-commercial evaluations (CAPEX, OPEX, performance guarantees, etc.)
  • Support technical aspects of PPAs, EPC ITT/RFQs, BESS integrators, and supply agreements
  • Working with the Procurement Team to select equipment and vendors, ensuring components meet technical specifications and requirements
  • Analyzing operational data to assess system performance, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements or upgrades
  • Support modeling and trading-desk teams with trend BESS data in the market
  • You might be required to travel internationally to support project discussions and FAT witnessing
  • It would be beneficial, if you have experience in assessing BESS technology reviews from both technical and fire safety angles. In addition to previous experience working in projects (operational) with different BESS technologies/suppliers.

In summary, it is a multifaceted role that combines deep technical and commercial expertise, and proven experience within BESS to ensure that EE executes its strategy within BESS effectively.

Job Prerequisites

  • A Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, battery systems, or a similar engineering background
  • Proven experience and specialist knowledge within the BESS sector (ideally more than 3 years) is required, having designed and executed projects from A-Z
  • Experience with data analysis, programming and/or projection is a bonus
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Are proficient in English.

The adequate candidate is self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and an eagerness to drive things forward. You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with good communication and facilitation skills.
