Data Manager and Analyst – Suicide Prevention Projects

Join a team at the forefront of suicide prevention research in Denmark, contributing to impactful, international collaborations. The Danish Research Institute for Suicide Prevention (DRISP) invites applications for a Data Manager and Analyst to support research activities in suicide prevention. Work tasks will consist of data management, statistical analyses, and collaborative research projects. The optimal candidate will have a background in biostatistics, data engineering, public health sciences, or comparable fields. Proficiency in Danish is an advantage but not essential. This is a 3-year full-time position and employment at Mental Health Centre Copenhagen.
Key responsibilities
- Retrieving and quality-checking register-based datasets.
- Managing and setting up datasets for statistical analysis, including linked registry data.
- Supervising statistical analyses and collaborating with team members.
- Collecting data from suicide prevention agencies across Denmark.
- Collaborating on projects involving AI algorithms and text-mining of patient records and death reports.
- Producing results for project reports and academic publications.
- Conducting own research projects.
Qualifications
- A degree in biostatistics, data engineering, public health sciences, or a related field.
- Expertise in statistical analysis and data management.
- Advanced user in SAS, RStudio, and Python.
- Strong written communication skills in English.
- Experience data management, e.g. individual-level linkage data.
- A track record of publishing scientific research.

About DRISP
DRISP is Denmark’s leading research group on suicide prevention, based at Mental Health Centre Copenhagen at Gentofte Hospital in greater Copenhagen. Our mission is to study risk factors, conduct interventions, and implement tools that reduce the risk of suicide and provide support for individuals and families.
