Software Engineer Positions in CFP

Danske Bank

Software Engineers – Danske Bank

Are you a passionate Software Engineer eager to drive positive change through technology and collaboration, working on cloud-native solutions in a flexible and inclusive work environment? Danske Bank is seeking talented Software Engineers to join our Core Financing Platform tribe.

About us

Core Financing Platform brings together a diverse group of professionals responsible for crafting solutions that facilitate financing in the Nordic markets. The tribe consists of approximately 200 colleagues across Denmark, Lithuania, and India, with these new positions based in our new Copenhagen Central domicile.

Danske Bank is dedicated to promoting equality and diversity and encourages all qualified individuals to apply. We value diversity, flexibility, and the unique perspectives that each team member brings.

About the positions

Your everyday work will take place within an agile, cross-functional squad led by a Product Owner. Your chapter will serve as your professional home base and provide a sparring network with fellow cloud developers and your HR manager, the Chapter Lead.

The seniority of the position will depend on your experience and the match with the available squad positions. Salary and working conditions follow the union agreement with Finansforbundet.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Maintain, design, and develop software solutions. Our technology stack includes .NET C#, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Camunda, and Azure DevOps, with systems currently running on a private cloud platform being migrated to AWS.
  • Act as system steward, supporting systems from development to managing CI/CD pipelines and mending vulnerabilities, collaborating with teams inside or outside the organisation.
  • Engage actively in sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, etc.
  • Document code changes, perform risk assessments, and handle compliance-related administration.
  • Ensure code quality and compliance with technical standards.
  • Contribute to architectural discussions, ensuring quality, scalability, performance, and availability.
  • Drive your tasks and proactively collaborate with colleagues and other cross-functional teams.
  • Share insights at both chapter and tribe levels, and for higher-level positions, also technically guide other developers, as well as motivate team members towards common goals.

Your Profile

  • Experienced .NET C# developer, with experience working with complex applications using SOLID principles (deliberate or de facto) based on e.g. restful APIs (MVC/WebAPI), MQs, automated testing (maybe even Test Driven Development), newer C# language versions, Kubernetes for container orchestration, infrastructure as code (IaC), and strong problem-solving and analytical skills - designing, coding, and reviewing.
  • Experience working in agile environments, open-minded, forthcoming, and able to work independently while also proactively driving tasks and collaborating with colleagues.
  • Understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) at a proficient level is necessary, with some roles possibly requiring an advanced level. If you do not already possess this insight, we will provide the necessary training to bring you up to speed.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills. Proficient in English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Danish is welcomed but not required.

We Offer

  • A supportive and inclusive work environment at our new domicile in København V.
  • Flexible working hours and hybrid work with up to 1-2 days a week working remotely.
  • Opportunity to build domain knowledge in an important financial business area.
  • Salary package with a pension scheme, health insurance, and other benefits.
  • We practice Activity-Based Work principles, dividing work areas into zones designed for specific activities such as focused work, meetings, or collaboration.
