Join us in this role where you’ll continue the transformation and digitalisation of our procurement contract template landscape, ensuring it reflects the diverse needs and perspectives of Ørsted’s business. You will serve as a crucial connector between our legal experts and procurement professionals, offering commercial advice that spans across our extensive contract portfolio. A key part of your role will involve structuring contract templates in a scalable way to facilitate greater automation in the drafting process, thereby balancing risk mitigation and compliance with standardisation and efficiency.
Welcome to Procurement
You’ll head Template Development & Advisory in Procurement where you, together with your colleagues, will be responsible for executing on the team’s vision to empower Ørsted with excellent procurement contract templates, tools and commercial advice. Our contract portfolio is large and diverse, and we provide advise across our business and locations. We’re a team of five lawyers, all currently located in Denmark, responsible for developing and maintaining all contract templates used across our global procurement organisation and for securing legal compliance in the way we work in Procurement. In our daily work, we apply various digital tools, and we have a strategic aspiration to deploy digital tools, such as contract generation and generative AI, to make our products available to the organisation in an efficient and transparent manner.
As a team, we’re highly motivated and driven by trust. We work independently with our respective areas of responsibility but have a clear structure of sparing and sharing our learnings and challenges.
You’ll play an important role in:
- Contribute to Procurement’s digitalisation journey by finding ways to structure contract templates that allows for automation and oversee implementation of contract templates into authoring software
- Managing legal compliance and regulatory matters directly or indirectly affecting Procurement and Procurement’s compliance towards internal rules and policies
- Driving and setting the standard for the ongoing standardisation and development of Procurement’s global contract template landscape
- Making expert guidance readily available to our colleagues in Procurement who are working across business units and locations.
To succeed in the role, you:
- hold a master’s degree, e.g. in law or business administration and commercial law, or equivalent, and have extensive practical experience with contract drafting and some experience working with procurement contracts (knowledge of and experience with FIDIC contracts is an advantage)
- possess a strong commercial mindset and can translate business needs into a contractual framework, while keeping an eye on the long-term ambition to simplify
- have flair and an interest in contributing to the digitalisation of the contract drafting discipline and a great attention to details
- enable people to develop their talent to meet both their career goals and the goals of the team.
