Will you enjoy having a high-profiled position with a broad strategic exposure within Vestas? We are looking for a Senior Manager, Tower Steel who will lead the Tower Steel procurement team.

Vestas Global Procurement is responsible for all procurement activities within Vestas, including leading cross functional category teams, negotiations and contract management, development of end-2-end cost out initiatives, category strategy development and supplier relationship management.
This position is a rare opening - with high attention from senior management. As Senior Manager you will be responsible for developing and executing the strategy of Vestas' Tower Steel procurement globally.
This position will be placed in Denmark, but with important stakeholders across the globe.
Responsibilities
You will have a high-profiled position with a broad strategic exposure within Vestas. Your everyday activities will be characterized by a very high tempo and requirement to engage in, manage and prioritize between multiple critical projects. Overall expected scope of work and deliverables include:
- Lead the Tower Steel procurement team consisting of direct and dotted-line reports, responsible for sourcing Vestas' global demand for Tower Steel and take part in the Towers & Steel leadership team
- Be an active part of our extended leadership team and represent this towards internal and external stakeholders
- Lead and manage cost-out and supply chain efficiency in a continuous manner in a cross functional team while maintaining or improving product quality and supplier performance
- Build a close relationship with the partners and critical suppliers in the category responsible for approximately €1 billion spend annually
- Building a strong network within Vestas, including close engagement with other colleagues from Global Procurement as well as colleagues from Quality and Sales. Further, provide proactive stakeholder management, including executive management level stakeholders
- Engage with steel producers to build low-emission steel supply according to Vestas Sustainability Roadmap
- Collaborate closely with the Vestas Sustainability team to align and implement the required actions to fulfill Vestas Sustainability Targets by 2030
Qualifications
As a Senior Manager you are expected to show great leadership and challenge the organization in our ways of working. The right candidate for this role will have/be:
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience with strategic procurement of relevant background, combined with a degree in either Supply Chain Management, Sales/Marketing, Engineering, or alike
- Extensive track record of commodity management and sourcing strategy development in an industrial and international environment
- Strong people leadership skills
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage with internal and external stakeholders on all levels of seniority
- Strong written, verbal and listening skills, to communicate, negotiate, influence effectively, as well as to advise executive management level. And fluent in English, both verbal and written
- Advanced skills within PPT and Excel required
- Experience working across different cultures and regions
