In Group Sustainability we are responsible for developing and driving initiatives to advance the overall Sustainability agenda for the Danske Bank Group. As a member of our Group Sustainability team, you will join fifteen highly engaged colleagues based in Copenhagen and Stockholm. Our work covers a broad scope: from developing Danske Bank’s strategic direction and sustainability policies to reporting and engaging with colleagues across the bank to collaborate on progressing the sustainability agenda.
Our daily interactions are dynamic as we work with complex strategy and change projects, collaborate closely with colleagues across the bank, and engage with external partners and stakeholders.

The candidate we are looking for
In Danske Bank, we have the ambition to be a leading Nordic bank in supporting the sustainability transition of customers, companies, and Nordic societies. In order to achieve this, we need to work closely together across the organisation and at times solve unprecedented problems and dilemmas.
The ideal candidate for this position possesses the following qualifications:
- A master’s degree within e.g. business, political, social, or environmental sciences.
- Experience working with sustainability, preferably within the financial sector or as e.g. a management consultant.
- An understanding of the transition needed for companies, financial institutions and society.
- Strong analytical mindset with structured problem-solving skills
- Strong track record on driving complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Genuine team player and excellent stakeholder engagement competencies.
Depending on your profile, you will work on one our key strategic agendas - climate change, nature and biodiversity, and human rights – or across agendas on driving our strategic steering, capability building, stakeholder engagement, and internal and external reporting on sustainability.
The position is based at our headquarters in Postbyen, Copenhagen, with options available for remote work.
