About the Role
Are you passionate about designing impactful landing pages that capture attention and drive engagement? Do you excel at paying close attention to detail, thrive in a collaborative environment, and possess the technical skills to bring ideas to life? If so, this role is for you.
As a Design & Operations Specialist, you’ll design and build landing pages (primarily) using our WordPress-based system and help streamline the page creation process to ensure smooth, efficient, and scalable outcomes. Your work will have an immediate and measurable impact, both internally within our team and for our clients.
This is a full-time contractor position with a 1-year term and the potential for transition to a full-time role in the future.
In this role, you will:
Design & Build Landing Pages
- Collaborate with KAYAK Media’s internal creative studio, which develops integrated media campaigns and other content creative solutions.
- Design and build and build custom landing pages for our partners, such as tourism boards and brands, crafting engaging, high-converting pages on our platform.
Optimize Workflows
- Develop, document, and refine workflows for consistent and scalable landing page creation across projects.
- Ensure clear communication of workflows and processes to the team.
Quality Assurance & Feedback
- Work closely with other WordPress builders, as well as design and engineering teams, to provide feedback on page builds.
- Ensure all pages meet quality standards and align with brand guidelines.
Content Catalog Creation
- Support the creation of a catalog of design assets to offer high-quality, scalable solutions that meet diverse client needs.
Documentation & Training
- Create comprehensive documentation and resources to empower other users in effective using our modular landing page system.
Please apply if you have:
- 3+ years of experience in digital design, especially in roles related to WordPress page creation and ensuring compliance with design systems.
- Hands-on experience with WordPress (Gutenberg experience preferred) and building landing pages.
- Knowledge of UX/UI principles, with an emphasis on crafting designs that prioritize user experience and drive conversions.
- Strong Collaboration skills and the ability to effectively communicate design decisions and feedback.
- Proficiency in Figma (or similar tools) and basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus.
- Ability to write clear, well-structured documentation of WordPress components for a non-technical audience, with a focus on systematic organization.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to self-direct and balance multiple projects.
