The position
As a Transfer Pricing Advisor at Novo Nordisk, you will:
- Participate in planning and executing transfer pricing projects, such as APA projects, often partnering with external advisors
- Engage with the business to provide advice or make changes from a transfer pricing perspective when new projects, organizational structures, or other developments arise
- Support affiliates during transfer pricing audits and manage subsequent processes to eliminate potential double taxation
- Oversee the internal process of cost allocation
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of transfer pricing policies and processes
As part of your role, you will work on various transfer pricing compliance matters, including reviewing or preparing transfer pricing documentation and driving the annual benchmark study update process.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you have:
- Master’s degree in tax, economics, public accounting, business law, or similar relevant education
- Approximately 3-5 years of experience working within transfer pricing
- Ability to work with external advisers and internal stakeholders from diverse professional backgrounds worldwide.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
On a personal level, you are self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently as well as in a team, while being able to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, ensuring proper prioritization to keep processes on track and meet deadlines.
About the department
At Novo Nordisk, we aim to have a sustainable tax approach emphasising our business-anchored approach to managing the impact of taxes while remaining true to the Novo Nordisk values of operating our business in a responsible and transparent manner.
We are a global tax organisation encompassing around 70 employees worldwide. In Novo Nordisk’s Corporate Tax department, we are around 25 dedicated employees working in teams within Transfer Pricing, Corporate Tax, Indirect Tax, M&A Tax and Tax Technology. The department is based at our headquarters in Denmark, where we foster a collaborative and dynamic atmosphere.
Within Transfer Pricing, we work closely with the tax team in Global Business Services in India. This team not only prepares standard Transfer Pricing documentation and intercompany agreements but also plays a significant role in supporting operational transfer pricing and handling a variety of other Transfer Pricing tasks.
