Are you passionate about creating innovative play experiences for children worldwide and love looking 5 years ahead with your ideas?
We're seeking a dynamic individual, focusing on prototyping new play. As a Prototyper, you'll play a crucial role in bringing ideas to life, collaborating with a creative team to develop prototypes!

This is a temporary Parental Leave cover position for the period 1st of February to 31st of August 2025.

Core responsibilities

  • Create new play by making various prototypes in the needed quality for the Product Marketing & Development within agreed deadlines.
  • Collaborate and brainstorm with the other team members to explore new play experiences
  • Present prototypes and new play experiences through builds, videos and storytelling
  • Facilitate maker events & educate co-workers
  • Support with Department initiatives
  • Actively builds and uses a network across the organization
  • You are in charge of running your own process and deliver the right Prototype Quality (play value, stability, functionality) to agreed deadlines
  • Take an active role and responsibility of own development – and take ownership of own time management and process

Play your part in our team succeeding
You will come in to our Play Discovery organization, which is a part of our Creative Play Lab (CPL). Here your responsibilities will be to explore and create prototypes of new play experiences.

From idea to play: Within the Prototypes Maker LAB you will contribute with making prototypes in the workshops in order to discover new play experiences for kids all around the world.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Educated Industrial designer, bachelor of engineering in integrated design and/or a Technical background
  • CAD skills, preferable Siemens NX, and basic IT skills (Office 365)
  • Skills in processing brass & plastic materials (Lathe, Mill, Drill press or CNC Milling) will be an advantage
  • Maker Mentality - Experimenting, Playing, failing, learning, doing. An entrepreneur who takes action and starts with their hands
  • Be able to evaluate the actual task and choose the most suitable prototyping methods
  • You are curious and innovative, and therefore find it natural to experiment and document the journey
  • Professional and openminded approach to new tasks, show commitment and passion for own and colleagues' work and ideas
  • Are adaptable, can solve tasks independently and navigate in an always changing environment
  • Outgoing and comfortable in presenting to others
  • Great communication skills in English, both written and oral. In addition, Danish will be a plus

The position is based in Billund, DK and relocation support is not offered for this role.
