Core Responsibilities
Come heading up designing robust and scalable data infrastructure to support Gen AI solutions, ensuring the seamless integration of data sources, pipelines, and storage solutions. Offer hands-on data engineering support to teams piloting Gen AI solutions, solve data-related issues Optimizing data workflows, and refining data architectures based on real-time feedback.

• Implement automation tools and frameworks to optimize the flow of data through the pipelines, ensuring timely availability and reliability for downstream applications.
• Work closely together with the Gen AI development team to integrate AI models and applications with the existing data infrastructure. Emphasizing data availability, quality, and performance.
• Keep abreast of the latest trends in Gen AI, evaluating and integrating best-in-class tools, frameworks, and practices to continually enhance our capabilities.
• Act as an authority, guiding junior engineers and collaborating teams, fostering a mentality of development excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Play an active role in sharing expertise in communication, event management, branding, and developer engagement to uplift the overall capabilities of the team.

The team is based in the new LEGO® Digital Office in Copenhagen, offering an exciting, inspiring, and flexible work environment – and a little fun play as well!

Do you have what it takes?
The preferred candidate has extensive experience as a software developer, including at least few years as a backend or full-stack engineer. They should possess high proficiency in Python and FastAPIs and demonstrate solid hands-on experience. With Generative AI (GenAI) plugins, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines, prompt engineering, or related use cases. Additionally, they bring deep expertise in Generative AI frameworks and libraries such as LangChain, OpenAI, and AutoGen, along with good experience using modern cloud-based services from major providers like AWS or Azure.

They have proven proficiency in designing and implementing microservices, handling APIs (OpenAPIs), and building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, applying Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), while adhering to industry standard methodologies in testing. Beyond their technical skills, the candidate demonstrates fine interpersonal and communication abilities, excelling in mentoring and guiding junior engineers. They are adept at simplifying sophisticated technical concepts for diverse internal and external collaborators and exhibit a collaborative mentality, effectively driving technical and strategic objectives across multifaceted teams.

Nice-to-Have Competencies:

• Experience contributing to open-source initiatives or research projects.
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations and responsible AI practices.

• Expertise in prompt design and engineering, including a deep understanding of various prompting techniques.
