Sr. Associate/Manager - Green Credit Fund, Investment Management Team

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) is looking for a professional with 3-5 years relevant experience to join the Investment Management team focused on managing the Green Credit Fund investment and working closely with the Green Credit Fund Investment Team.

The Team
The Green Credit Fund (GCF) targets credit investments with a risk-return position between equity and senior debt. GCF invests in tailor-made debt solutions across a variety of renewable assets, including on/offshore wind, solar PV, waste-to-energy, PtX, and advanced biofuels. GCF is CIP’s first fund exclusively focused on credit investments.

Joining the Green Credit Fund Investment Management Team, you will be supporting CIP’s credit investment strategy globally. You will join an experienced, dynamic and growing team which is managing CIP’s credit investments across all relevant geographies. You will be further part of the broader CIP Investment Management Team which consist of more than 50 XX professionals working across CIP’s different investment strategies around the world. You will work closely with the CIP’s credit investment team.

The role
The role will be key in managing the Green Credit Fund’s investments during closing and the life-time of the investments.

Responsibilities will consist of, but are not limited to:

  • Managing the closing and funding of transactions
  • Monitoring the performance (operational, financial and loan) under the transactions
  • Working with advanced financial models with the ability to navigate and proactively model
  • Interacting with external advisors and partners, including legal and financial advisors
  • Managing request for waivers and consent under the transaction documents as well as, if necessary, more extensive amendments
  • Development of analysis and high-quality presentations for internal decision makers and external stakeholders
  • Mentoring analysts and secure the quality of their deliverables

You
The work environment at CIP is vibrant and engaging, offering an international and intellectually stimulating atmosphere. We are therefore looking for a motivated, collaborative, and analytical professional holding a relevant master’s degree within Economics, Finance, Business, or other related fields and 3-5 years of work experience in a similar position within execution or management of structured finance or leveraged buyout transactions from the bank sector, corporate finance or the investment universe in Denmark of from abroad.

Key qualifications include:

  • Solid quantitative and analytical skills with acute attention to detail
  • Solid financial modelling experience
  • Minimum a couple of years of experience with credit analysis, and financial documentation
  • Strong ability to work with limited supervision, with the confidence to exercise judgement appropriately, at the same time enjoying teamwork and engaging with colleagues at all levels of seniority
  • Knowledge of the energy or infrastructure sector is beneficial
  • High level of experience with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Written and verbal communication in English on a professional level
  • Ability to work well in time-sensitive settings and take on responsibility
  • Experience with project finance theory is desirable
