The Portfolio Management team is bridging commercial insights with operational excellence. We manage and develop a complex pharmaceutical portfolio while aligning market goals with internal strategy. As Lead Portfolio Management, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the team’s strategic direction while fostering collaboration across departments. Leading a skilled and diverse team, you will navigate market complexities and ensure alignment between sales and portfolio goals. Leadership is at the heart of this role—we are seeking someone who is driven to support and empower their team, helping them achieve their potential while realizing shared objectives. With established processes already in place, this position offers the opportunity to elevate operations further, challenge existing norms, and introduce thoughtful, innovative strategies for continuous improvement.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing a diversely skilled team of product analysts and portfolio managers.
  • Overseeing strategy development and driving its execution.
  • Aligning portfolio management goals with sales market objectives to achieve shared success.
  • Managing and improving communication within the team and with external stakeholders.
  • Developing strategies for handling different market segments, including trading, retail, and hospital.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory complexities, especially in key markets like the UK.
  • Acting as the primary contact for internal partners and managing relationships effectively. (maybe exclude as already mentioned in last statement)
  • Overseeing budgeting, provisioning, and financial reporting for the team.
  • Supporting cross-functional projects and ensuring alignment with stakeholders such as Supply Chain, Procurement, and Product Development.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need strong leadership capabilities, a strategic mindset, and the ability to drive collaboration across teams. A solid blend of the following factors will equip you to succeed in this role:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role, ideally within portfolio management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Understanding of commercial vs. clinical pharmaceutical cases, particularly in the UK, Ireland, and Malta and/or a strong interest to learn
  • Familiarity with regulatory complexities in pharmaceutical markets is a plus; if not, openness to learn and curiosity to explore these fields is essential.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and driving alignment across departments.
