The position
As a Freight Manager your responsibilities will include:

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for transportation needs on a global scale in relation to Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMO) within Novo Nordisk transport agreements.
• Be responsible for selected transportation suppliers, including supplier performance/adherence and annual supplier evaluation.
• Be involved in developing the Novo Nordisk supply chain standardisation of the shipping process through close collaboration with the Global Freight Manager.
• Align on a competitive and qualitative transportation setup from all enrolled CMOs.
• Design and implement new routes and acquire sufficient capacity in the required transport quality.
• Manage stakeholders, acting as a facilitator between internal and external stakeholders, aligned with the Global Freight Manager's outlook and requirements.
• Align internal or external business issues and solutions, recommending solutions/best practices.

Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with:

• A bachelor’s degree in supply chain or similar, preferably with a forwarder background.
• 3 – 5 years’ experience from similar jobs.
• Logistics & Supply Chain experience from global scale exporters.
• Practical experience from the forwarding industry.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Pharmaceutical knowledge, especially GDP.

About the department
Global Logistics & Distribution (GL&D) is a central Supply Chain & Business Development organisation in Product Supply, managing all cross-functional logistical systems and processes and Finance. We are app. 70 employees in Bagsvaerd (DK) and 10 in Bangalore (India)

The department is overall responsible for the global distribution of Novo Nordisk products between production sites and to our affiliates and regional offices across the globe, focusing on delivering a high service while balancing the environmental footprint with the financial impact. Furthermore, we have the responsibility for storage of GxP products, covering both in- and outbound distribution.

While taking the responsibility for global distribution, GL&D is responsible for overseeing and complying with all regulatory and quality requirements related to distribution of pharmaceuticals, managing the distribution cost and performance management of our warehouses and vendors

The open position is in our Shipping Operations team. As our new Freight Manager, you will join a team of 14 highly motivated and talented colleagues and work closely with our Global Freight Manager.
