DI’s office in New York City is currently looking for highly motivated and qualified interns to assist Danish companies in the U.S.
Danish Industry – DI – is Denmark's largest, most international, and influential business and employers' organization, covering manufacturing as well as service industries across a broad range of sectors. Every day, DI helps Danish companies turn global opportunities into successful business results – locally, nationally, and internationally. With offices in the U.S., China, Germany, Belgium, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, and Kenya, DI supports the visibility and commercialization of Danish companies abroad.
DI USA is currently looking for two interns who will be an integrated part of the team’s daily work in supporting the establishment and expansion of Danish business activities in the U.S. As an intern at DI’s office in New York City, you will gain the opportunity to work on a diverse range of complex and interesting projects in a highly international and professional environment. You will be part of an experienced team of colleagues who will put you to work and improve your professional expertise.
Our available internships are:
Business analyst:
- Conducting business development and growth market strategies, partner analyses, and market analysis for Danish companies.
- Scoping and executing events, workshops, and delegations concerning collaboration between U.S. stakeholders and Danish companies.
- Assisting in mapping key stakeholders on behalf of Danish companies.
- Research potential new partnerships between Danish companies and the U.S.
Communications and administration intern:
- Lead on developing DI USA SoMe strategies and content on various media channels (Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) and execution of external deliverables.
- Conceptualizing and executing proactive communication plans to increase awareness about DI’s office in the U.S. and Danish solutions.
- Collaborating with DI in Copenhagen about core messaging.
- Scoping and executing events, workshops, and delegations concerning collaboration between U.S. stakeholders and Danish companies.
- Administrative work related to operational services (company administration, virtual representation, etc.).
- Managing and coordinating invoicing processes.
What we expect from you
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- An understanding of Danish companies’ core competencies.
- Good interpersonal skills, personal initiative, and propensity for team collaboration.
- Detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Fluent in English and Danish, both written and spoken.
- The ideal candidate is a master student.

The duration of the position is 11 months starting on August 1, 2025. The normal working week is 40 hours, and overtime work is expected to occur during specific periods. The internship is unpaid, but DI provides a housing subsidy of USD 600/month. Previously, interns have succeeded in seeking grants for partial coverage of expenses.
