Core Responsibilities

  • Improve our current risk and control matrix from an end-to-end process perspective and optimize process governance
  • Act as risk and control sparring partner to Process Owners and provide advice and recommendations
  • Key driver in cross functional projects to improve process and control performance by identifying automation and standardization potential via multiple productivity solutions
  • Report to top management on risk exposure, control performance and observations
  • Support collaborators in internal and external audits
  • Act as a role model to strengthen the risk and control approach throughout the entire LEGO Group

The Governance & Internal Control team is responsible for 2nd Line of Defense activities globally and leads the enhancement of our Risk and Control Matrix (RACM) with an end-to-end perspective, ensuring compliance excellence and governance for financial reporting cycles.

As a Finance Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and evolving a best-in-class risk and control framework for financial reporting. Beyond driving initiatives, you’ll influence organizational culture by embedding a governance-first mindset across teams. While the role does not involve direct people leadership, it requires significant cross-functional collaboration with process owners, finance teams, and auditors to strengthen internal controls and align financial processes to global standards. Working closely with these stakeholders, you’ll guide compliance strategies, develop value-adding controls, and optimize processes to meet global industry standards such as the COSO framework.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Cand. Merc. Aud. or similar and at least 5 years of experience in a global organization or international audit firm.
  • Risk and Controls expertise: Experience with 2nd Line of Defense activities including identification, design, and deployment of controls in the processes Hire-to-Retire, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay and Record-to-Report
  • Experience with change management (communication and training) as part of implementing/anchoring a risk & control approach and relevant policies
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable improvements in processes, compliance, and operational efficiency
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach that enables the team to be productive, effective, and successful
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and align cross-functional stakeholders.
  • A strong sense of confidentiality, ethics, and integrity
  • Knowledge around process mining - Celonis, BlackLine, Alteryx or Power BI would be an added advantage
  • Ability to travel for up to max. 3 weeks per year.

The position is based in Billund, DK and relocation support is not offered for this role.
