Procurement business analyst - create visually compelling data reports
DSV A/S
Job Req Number: 89341
Time Type: Full Time
Are you ready to utilise your analytical skills to deep-dive into data and form useful insights that directly influence decision-making and procurement strategies?
And do you want the best of both worlds – the entrepreneurial spirit of shaping new processes while benefiting from the stability and resources of a global logistics leader?
Welcome to the Global Parcel Procurement team
At DSV, we are at the forefront of innovation in the logistics industry, and we are dedicated to delivering world-class solutions to our clients worldwide. At our HQ in Hedehusene, you will join our Global Parcel unit and more specifically the Procurement team where you will be the third member.
Together, we have recently introduced a new approach to supplier engagement, collaboration, and the way we handle contracts and negotiations, to make it more centralized and streamlined.
“This is a sweet spot in our business – it has high priority from top management, and we have a global organisation in the back as well as an entrepreneurial feel that comes when developing a new approach to a line of business. That makes it interesting to go to work every day,” says Head of Global Last Mile Procurement, Nicolai Laudrup.
You create visual output from supplier data
As our new procurement business analyst, you will create, develop and maintain a new line of business analysis, reports and tools that will support areas such as performance development, spend overview and quotation tooling.
Your key tasks will include:
- Capturing and analysing data to provide comprehensive support, including analysis & reporting, and delivering actionable insights to the procurement organization and its stakeholders
- Creating informative material to support insightful and strategic decisions
- Developing and implementing best-practice processes, frameworks and procurement tools
- Finding and exploring opportunities to improve efficiency through smarter workflows
With this role comes a great insight into our business and especially supplier data – so if you have the motivation, you will also have the opportunity to participate in e.g. quarterly status meetings with our suppliers and thus gain an even more extensive network.
You have a curious and open mindset…
… with a structured and analytical approach to problem solving. This enables you to not only create the required and requested outputs from data, but also deep dive and discover patterns in the data, that we did not even know we were looking for.
We expect you to have some years of experience and imagine that you also:
- Bring extensive analytic experience
- Are able to navigate within complex data structures and environments
- Excel at working both independently and as part of a team, navigating between your detailed data sets and the holistic business view
- Can build close cooperation with other business units and functional areas as well as internal and external stakeholders
- Are fluent in English both oral and written
- Perhaps bring PowerBI experience
