Semco Maritime is currently looking for a Manager, E&I Engineering to join a newly established E&I engineering team within our Engineering & Projects Organization in the Transitional Energies division. The position is based in Esbjerg on a full-time permanent basis working at the Semco Maritime head quarter.
In this position, you will play a crucial part of defining and maturing a new team which will design solutions across different markets such as PtX, industrial, wind energy and O&G.
We work alongside many specialized manufacturers to deliver projects and support operational requirements within the energy industries.
As Manager, E&I Engineering you will have a close working relationship across the multi-discipline engineering organization in your division but also across our divisions at Semco Maritime in Denmark and our office in UK.

Key responsibilities and tasks
- Develop a new team within Systems Engineers, Designers and Electrical and Instrumentation Engineers
- Organize and perform day-to-day management
- People leadership and personal development of the team in accordance with the Leadership Philosophy in Semco Maritime
- Work closely with the engineers to execute and deliver projects on time and budgets
- Support ongoing projects with ad hoc trips onshore & offshore
- Ensure that the Engineering team has the competencies and tools to deliver ongoing and new projects
- Be responsible for future planning and schedules for the Engineering team
- Safety has a high priority, and you work proactively to reduce risks and irregularities to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
- Must work in line with the Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental and Quality Assurance procedures and policies at all times
- Always ensure highest levels of client service delivery
- Managing technical queries within the Engineering team
Who we are looking for
We expect the ideal candidate to have the following experience and qualities:
- Experience from a similar Engineering role
- Experience within people leadership
- Systems Engineering knowledge and experience
- Brownfield Engineering experience
- Actively work to drive innovation within Semco
- Skilled in client communication to develop existing client base, in terms of direct contacts and the Company’s service range.
- Knowledgeable with legislation and standards.
- Actively work with management and others to look for opportunities to improve the Company’s best practices.
- Self-starter with a proactive and practical approach to work
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:
- Engineering degree in an appropriate subject or equivalent experience
- Experience with working in an engineering environment, ideally in the energy sector
- Offshore experience
- Fluent in Danish & English
