HAMLET PROTEIN is an organization with a strong sense of purpose and a well-established product brand. As our new Sales Manager, NCA, you will play a pivotal role in developing our future business. You draw on your expertise and deep understanding of the animal nutrition sector, primarily swine and poultry, to build and service your customer base. Working with the broader team, you will consult with potential and existing customers on maximizing the nutritional and technical properties of our products in feed formulations – and improving welfare for the animals at the same time.
Through our aggressive growth strategy, you will deliver value by acting as our brand ambassador, instilling trust in our customers and colleagues, and therefore increase revenue.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Build and develop our customer base primarily within the pig, poultry, and calf feed business.
- Negotiate and close contracts.
- Produce an operational account strategy and regular progress reports.
- Collaborate with other members of the global sales team to develop sales plans.
- Actively participate in conferences and exhibitions.
- Support the development and generation of literature and other marketing and promotional material.
Education, Experience and Competencies
- BS or MS in Animal Science, Animal Nutrition, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in the animal production and nutrition industry.
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial sales experience in feed or feed ingredient additives.
- Strong agricultural business acumen with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and present nutritional solutions for the business segment.
- Customer focus with ability to gain commitment, build and sustaining client relationships and close sales agreements.
- Works with a high degree of organization, is detail-oriented and establishes a standard of excellence.
- Ability to work in a global environment, effectively partnering with and supporting international teams and initiatives.
- Fluent in English; foreign language comprehension is a bonus.
- Ability to use business systems such as Microsoft Office, CRM, ERP System, and Skype/Teams.
Working Conditions
Working Hours: Core business hours are 8:00-5:00; this role requires frequent travel both regionally and overnight, client visits and work outside of the normal business hours.
Workplace: Home Office
Travel Activity: over 50% travel is typically required. This includes some international travel. A current and valid driver’s license and passport are required.
